On November 9, 2011, MassPay Payroll Services held our second annual Fed Up With Cancer fundraiser at Danversport Yacht Club. With over 400 people in attendance, Fed Up With Cancer’s evening of food sampling, live music, and live and silent auctions raised $20,000 to support programs and services for cancer patients at the NSMC Salem Hospital and the MassGeneral/North Shore Cancer Center in Danvers.

The Second Annual Fed Up attendees were greeted by bagpipe music by Mike Walsh and later in the evening, enjoyed the Jazmen’s smooth jazz music. Legendary boxer Micky Ward attended the event, posed for photographs with patrons, signed autographs and then made a surprise donation of two 1-hour sparring sessions with him at his gym in Chelmsford for our live auction. Bridget Blythe of NECN’s The Morning Show did a fantastic job as the emcee.

Several of the North Shore’s wonderful restaurants provided food for Fed Up With Cancer, including: Acapulco’s of Beverly, Capt’s Waterfront Grill of Salem, Casual Catering at Super Sub of Beverly, Danversport Yacht Club, Howling Wolf Taqueria of Salem, Marino’s Café of Beverly, Not Your Average Joe’s of Beverly, Pride’s Pizza Plus of Beverly, Ryan and Wood Distillery of Gloucester, Scratch Kitchen of Salem, Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill of Salem, Supino’s of Danvers, Treadwell’s Ice Cream of Peabody and Victoria Station of Salem.

Our Gold Sponsors included: Cohen Construction, Capital Formation Group, Inc. and Deschamps Printing Company, Inc. and we are also extremely grateful for those businesses and individuals who sponsored at the Silver and Bronze levels.

To all those involved in the second annual Fed Up With Cancer fundraiser, your support was sincerely appreciated. Please continue to advocate for those who can’t so that everyone understands the depth to which cancer impacts our society. We all hope to live to see the day when the cancer industry is wiped off the map because cancer has been eradicated from our society. Until then, we will continue to support causes like the North Shore Cancer Medical Center’s oncology unit and MassGeneral/North Shore Cancer Center in honor of our family and friends.
